Trunk-or-Treat
On Thursday, October 30th, we’ll celebrate Halloween at RPC by hosting Trunk or Treat.
Here’s how it works: bring your car, some candy, some lawn chairs and decorate your trunk! You can find themes all over the internet by googling “Trunk or Treat Themes.” (Make sure to think of matching costumes for the people in your car!) Click here for some theme ideas with photos. We’ll line up all the cars and let the kids go from trunk to trunk collecting candy. Don’t worry if your theme spills out of your trunk, the more creative, the better!
Make sure to bring TONS of candy! This is for the RPC kids and the kids in the community.
Trunk or Treat begins at 6:00 PM and lasts until 8:00 PM.
Leave us a comment and let us know that you’re coming!

Sunday Rewind
This Sunday was part 2 of our new series called ‘Welcome to Worse.’ Remember your wedding vows, where you promised to be there? For better or for worse…Well what do you do when worse gets here? How do we handle tough times in marriage?
This week we looked at Ephesians 5:22-33 and talked about the role of the man in a marriage. While the wife is to submit to the husband, that leaves the man with a lot of responsibility and a lot to answer for. As a husband, how do you handle the pressure? How do you step up and lead if you haven’t been doing so?
3 things we wanted guys to walk away with:
- Your faith is the starting point.
- If you think you’re not qualified, you’re perfect for the job.
- You model God’s fatherhood to your kids.
Next week, we’ll be taking a look at the role of the wife in a marriage.

Teen Girls Group
A Family Group will start up on August 17th for all teen girls. It will meet in the STR8UP portable following the Youth service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. They need to bring a brown bag lunch (drinks will be provided) and the cost of the books is $13.00… Any questions they can call Tammy McCue @ 224-6414 or e-mail her at tammymccue1@att.net.
Sunday Rewind
This Sunday we began a new series called ‘Welcome to Worse.’ Remember your wedding vows, where you promised to be there? For better or for worse…Well what do you do when worse gets here? How do we handle tough times in marriage?
This week we looked at Galatians 6:7-10 and learned that we cannot become weary in doing good, even though that’s an easy thing to do (‘cause doing the right thing is not easy, right?). We were also reminded of the timeless principle that if you sow corn, you reap grapes….er, wait. You reap what you sow. ALWAYS. So if you sow corn, you reap corn. If you sow hate, you reap hate. If you sow love, you reap love. It’s a timeless principle. BUT, if you give up, you might be walking away right before the light at the end of the tunnel, so we cannot grow weary in doing good. DON’T GIVE UP.
Next week, we’ll be taking a look at the different roles in marriage, and how they affect your household. Stay tuned…big things coming at RPC.
